Each Fellows meeting lasts 60 minutes and begins with a brief welcome and introduction. At the start, participants are greeted, and new members introduce themselves. In a small "check-in" round, everyone has the opportunity to share how they are feeling. The aim is to create an open and respectful environment where everyone feels safe.
The main part of the meeting focuses on discussing a specific topic. This topic is either suggested by the participants or chosen based on current needs. Each participant can share their thoughts and experiences, ask questions, or simply listen.
A key element of the meeting is the exchange of experiences. This is the heart of every session: participants share their personal experiences, offer each other support and advice, and reflect together on the topic discussed. The emphasis is on mutual understanding, empathy, and support.
At the end of the meeting, there is time for reflection and closure. Everyone is welcome to share what they are taking away from the session or what has been on their mind because of it. There is also an opportunity to agree on the next topic if certain issues need to be explored further.
A central principle at Fellows is confidentiality and anonymity. What is discussed in the group stays within the group. This ensures participants feel secure in expressing themselves openly and honestly.
Fellows is designed for anyone seeking support, looking to connect with others, or simply wanting to do something good for themselves. Our groups provide a safe space for people dealing with personal challenges or mental health struggles, as well as for those who want to discuss current life topics to take care of their well-being. At Fellows, you'll find like-minded people who understand and support you—regardless of age, background, or gender.
To participate in a Fellows meeting, all you need is an internet-enabled device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer, and a stable internet connection. The access details and the link to the online meeting will be sent to you via email. You can then easily join the session by clicking on the link.
No one has to use their real name. You can join the meeting anonymously by choosing any name before entering. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and safe. Our groups place great importance on confidentiality and respectful interaction with one another.
You don't have to turn on your camera if you don't want to. You can also participate without a camera as long as you join the session via audio. It's important that you feel comfortable, so you can decide for yourself whether or not you want to be visible.
Currently, the membership fee is not yet covered by health insurance, but we are working on finding a solution. We will keep you informed if anything changes.
